Marvin W. Harrington, age 77, of Murfreesboro, TN, died on Saturday, July 22, 2017. A native of Watseka, IL, he was preceded in death by his parents, Gross and Lorene Fields Harrington; and his niece, Kendra Harrington.

A graveside service will be Saturday at 12:00 noon at Roselawn Memorial Gardens will military honors.

Mr. Harrington is survived by his daughters, Dana Decker and her husband Robby of Unionville, TN, Tara Harrington of Murfreesboro, and Gretchen Thomas and her husband Michael of Christiana; grandchildren,   Brianna, Cameron, Ryan, Riley, Kyle and Jacob; sister, Shirley Domokos and her husband Bob of Ankeny, IA; brother, Kenneth Harrington and his wife Mary Ann of Granger, IN; nieces, Lisa and Brenda; nephews, Jason,Ryan and Michael; and life-long friends, Jimmy Lyons and Roger Grillenwater.

Mr. Harrington was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired security officer with Gaurdsmark and also worked at U.S. Smokeless Tobacco. Mr. Harrington was also a Special Needs School Bus Driver.

Marvin never made an enemy and was loved by everyone. He will always be remembered for his jokes and ability to make people laugh.He was a loving dad and papa and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
