Martin Bernard McGreevy, age 79, died Friday, September 28, 2012. Mr. McGreevy was born in Chicago, IL and he has lived in Murfreesboro since 1997. Mr. McGreevy is survived by his wife of 58 years Peggy; children Martin McGreevy II. of Grayslake, IL, Shawn McGreevy of Crystal Lake, IL, and Shannon McGreevy of Murfreesboro; grandchildren Adam McGreevy and Molly McGreevy. He loved the Lord, his family and his country. Mr. McGreevy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Third Baptist Church. He attended Loyola University in Chicago and was retired from the Accounting Department of the Baptist General Conference in Arlington Heights, IL. He was a first generation American and was very proud of his Irish Ancestry. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. Pastor Mike Lee will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Third Baptist Church in memory of Mr. McGreevy.
