Martha Elizabeth Harris Garrard, age 80, died July 12, 2012 at MTMC. Mrs. Garrard was the daughter of the late John William and Emma Elizabeth Potter Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Franklin Garrard. Mrs. Garrard is survived by her son David (Jennifer) Garrard of Murfreesboro; daughter Kathy (Kerry) Love of Cottontown, TN, Libby (Craig) Lokey of Suwanee, GA, and Lisa (Jim) Luscinski of Murfreesboro; brother Robert E. (Melva) Harris of Spring, TX; grandchildren Kristy Sharpton, Karen (Mitchell) Baker, Kerry Love, Jr., Lauren Lokey, Garrard Lokey, Reece Garrard, and Emma Claire Garrard; and great-grandchildren Cade Sharpton and Hensley Baker. Mrs. Garrard was a 1950 graduate of Piggott High School. She married Mr. Garrard in 1952 and they moved to Middle Tennessee in 1954 after Mr. Garrard was discharged from Sewart Air Force Base. Mrs. Garrard was a member of First Baptist Church, and was a retired teacher from Ruth Boudoins Classroom on Wheels. After retirement, Mrs. Garrard loved to play bridge and travel. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro. Pam Pilote will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro, and 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Monday at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, Piggott, AR. Graveside service will be 4:00 PM Monday at Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund 200 E.
