Martha Watkins Downs, age 75 of Smyrna, TN died Sunday September 28, 2014. She was a native of Enterprise Alabama and was the daughter of the late, J.C. Watkins and Nellie Parrish Watkins. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Kay Watkins, Linda Watkins Wolfe, and brother, J.L. Watkins. Mrs. Downs was member of LifePoint Church in Smyrna and a graduate of FSU in Tallahassee, Florida She taught school in the State of Florida for over 37years. Mrs. Downs is survived by her daughter, Aundrea Berkey and son-in-law, Chris of Murfreesboro, TN and grandchildren, Maxwell and Phoebe; brothers, Kenneth Watkins and wife Linda, and Tom Watkins and wife Beverly. Funeral service will be at a later date with Whidden-McLean Funeral Home located at 650 E. Main Street Bartow, Florida 33830. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, Florida. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of local arrangements
