Marsha Ann Plemons , age 66 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Sunday September 18, 2016. She was a native of Lenoir City, TN, and was preceded in death by her father Randolph Lee Plemons. Memorial service will be 3:00 PM Friday September 30, 2016 at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Reverend Chris Warren will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.

Marti is survived by her mother, Helen Pauline Williams Dickerson; brother, Russell Lee Plemons, and his wife Rande Lynn; niece, Rachel Lauren Plemons; nephew, Lee Plemons, and his wife Jessica; two great-nieces, Madelynn and Aubrey Plemons; aunts, Kay Felty and Betty Plemons.

Marti was an Elder of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Murfreesboro, TN. She was a 1967 graduate of Central High School, earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications from MTSU, and a Master's degree in Journalism from Indiana State University. She was a retired MTSU speech instructor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org , the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org , or to the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Murfreesboro, TN.

A family interment will be at the Lenoir City Cemetery in Lenoir City, TN on Saturday, October 1, 2016 with Reverend Ricky Wiggins officiating.
