MARJORIE DIANE VAUGHAN SMITH, age 56, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died January 30, 2009 at Alive Hospice. She was born in Greenville, S. C. and was the daughter of the late Wheeler Vaughan, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Smith of Nashville; sisters, Connie Yant and Sherry Vaughan of Murfreesboro; mother, Mary Wilson Haynes, Murfreesboro; step mother, Velvia Vaughan of Murfreesboro; brother, Wheeler Vaughan, Jr. of Dallas, Ga.; grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Brawner, Christopher Smith and Jessica Smith; great grandchild, Brandon. Memorial services 2 pm Saturday February 7, 2009 at 2 pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Waters officiating. Mrs. Smith was a member of Bellwood Baptist Church, graduate of Belmont University and a retired computer programmer with AIG Insurance Company.
