BRO. MARION EUGENE GILMORE, age 90, of Smyrna, died January 17, 2012. Bro. Gilmore was a native of Hallett, OK, and was the son of the late Elbert E. and May Cole Gilmore. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Wilma Dabbs Gilmore who died in 2010, and a son, the late David Gilmore. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday at Highland Heights Church of Christ. Robbie Forrester will officiate. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Bro Gilmore is survived by three daughters, Jeanine Adams and her husband Steve of Brentwood, Joyce Kirk-Moore and her husband Thomas of California, and Lois Watkins and her husband Barry of Richmond, VA; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Bro. Gilmore was a minister of the gospel for over 70 years and was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Pepperdine University and received his masters degree in music education from the University of Oklahoma. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
