Marie Barr Vinson, age 86, of Smyrna, TN died Monday May 2, 2011 at Christian Care Center. A native of Putnam County she was the daughter of the late Roe and Bertha Hutchings Barr. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Pat Hood, Br. W.D. Thomason and Dr. Lenny Farmer will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Vinson is survived by her husband of 60 years, Sam F. Vinson; son and daughter in law, Greg and Gina Vinson of The Woodlands, TX; daughters and sons in law, Linda and Pat Hilton of Jonesborough, TN and Pam and Dean Pearson of Murfreesboro; sisters and brothers in law, Geneva and Barby Carroll of The Woodlands, TX, Erma Barr of Mt. Juliet, Roena and Lonnie Fuson of McMinnville, and Christine and Lynn Bouldin also of McMinnville; brothers and sisters in law, Earl and Hazel Barr of McMinnville and Gene and Pat Barr of Manchester; six grandchildren, Sam (Anna Marie) Hilton of Knoxville, Brian (Morgan) Vinson of Euless, TX, Kristin Vinson, Timothy Pearson, Andrew Pearson and Daniel Vinson; and one great grandchild, Max Hilton. Mrs. Vinson was a member of Life Point F.B.C. in Smyrna. Grandsons and Dean Pearson will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gideons International or the Arthritis Foundation. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday and 11:00AM to 12:00PM Wednesday, all at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151
