Maria S. "Tony" Richards, age 92, of Murfreesboro passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017. She was a native of Jonesborough, TN and the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Annette McClure Slonaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Clyde Richards.

Funeral service will be 10:30am Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Barry Culbertson will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Richards and his wife Teresa of New Market, AL, granddaughter, Kate Thomas and her husband Mark of Huntsville, AL, and great grandson, Luc Thomas.

Mrs. Richards was a member of Lock's Memorial United Methodist Church and a retired Smyrna High School Teacher.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Anyan, Mark Thomas, Bill Smith, Burton Dye, Clayton West and John Richards.
