Margareta Greta Whiteside, age 64, of Murfreesboro, passed away on June 5th, 2010 in her home surrounded by her friends and family. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law; Erik and Lorri Whiteside of Atlanta, Georgia, and Dean and Mitsuko Whiteside of Tokyo, Japan, a sister; Tina Thomsen and a brother; Jon Milton, both of Nashville. Greta was the Director of Education at Middle Tennessee Medical Center where she worked for 35 years. In 2008, she became the first recipient of the HEART of MTMC award. Visitation for friends and family will be Wednesday, June 9th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodfin Funeral Chapel and the memorial service will be Thursday, June 10th at 5 p.m. at St. Marks United Methodist Church, both in Murfreesboro.
