Margaret Evans Sharp's Obituary
Margaret Evans Sharp, born July 31, 1927 the youngest child of John William Evans and Ela Bailey Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents and all seven siblings. Mrs. Sharp married Robert Harold Sharp July 29, 1944 who preceded her in death in 2000. She was a retired LPN having worked 30 years at the Jackson Clinic and 5 years at Jackson Madison County Hospital. Mrs. Sharp was born and raised in Madison Co. having lived there until 1988. After retirement she moved to Smyrna, and was a member of Smyrna First Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Anne Deeg and husband Ray of Cumming, GA, Judy Godfrey and husband Jim of Smyrna, Jane Lindsey and husband Dan of Fairview; three grandchildren, Alan Castleman and wife Heather, Jamie Godfrey and wife Kelley of Brentwood, Melissa Bean and husband Derrick of Franklin; nine great-grandchildren; Paige Castleman, Zoe Castleman, James Godfrey, Sam Godfrey, Stella Godfrey, Charlie Godfrey, Maggie Bean, Cooper Bean and Lucy Bean; several nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Exum, Doug Weaver, Alton Herndon, Bobby Sharp, Derrick Bean, Alan Castleman, and Jamie Godfrey.
Memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Sharp to American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be 4PM-7PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, and 4PM-7PM Thursday at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in Jackson. Graveside service will be 10AM Friday at Brown's Church Cemetery in Jackson.
