Obituary

MARGARET GRISSIM PALMER age 87 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Monday Oct. 26, 2008. A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Donnell and Lillie Lee Norris Grissim. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Bobbie Jean Palmer of Rockvale, TN, daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Bill Santi of Murfreesboro, TN, sisters, Betty Williams and Mary Hube Thompson both of Lebanon, TN, sisters-in-law, Mildred Grissim of Columbia, TN, and Callie Grissim of Huntsville, AL. Mrs. Palmer is also survived by grandchildren, Greyson Palmer, Maribeth Palmer Word, Jacquelyn Palmer Ryan, Tiffany Santi Coleman, Will Santi, and Susanna Foster. Great-grandchildern, Jack Word, Alex Ryan, Abby Dillday, Lane and Laurie Margaret Foster, Caroline and Luke Coleman, Jack and Katelyn Santi. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Young officiating. Graveside service will be 3:00PM EST in the Chattanooga Memorial Park in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ, a member of the Music City Mustang Club and the Stones River Antique Auto Club. She was former manager of Chelsea Place Apartments and also worked at Mid-Cumberland Agencies. Mrs. Palmer was married to the late Jack M. Palmer, Jr. and was preceded in death by her son, Jack Miller Palmer and brothers, Robert and Bill Grissim. The family would like to thank the staff of AdamsPlace Assisted Living for their care and love to Mrs. Palmer. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Palmer may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
