Margaret Johnson, age 88, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 26, 2018. A native of Indianapolis, IN, and a long-time resident of LaVergne, TN, she was preceded in death by her husband; Alford Johnson; father, William Henry Bell; mother, Sarah Elizabeth Beacham; step-mother, Mable Ledbetter; sister, Juanita Bell Moore; and brother, William Henry Bell Jr.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Milton Hicks will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Gregory and her husband Robert; grandsons, Lee and Gary Gregory; sister, Ruth McFarlin all of Smyrna; along with several nieces, nephews and special friend, Becky Pendergrast.

Mrs. Johnson attended the LaVergne Presbyterian Church for many years. She loved her dog, Peaches very much and enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing.

Lee Gregory, Curtis Pendergrast, Silas Gregory, Emiliano Delgadillo, and Roy Pendergrast will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Johnson can be made to the Amedisys Hospice of Florence, Alabama.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
