Margaret Christine Hughes Dixon Brooks, age 83, of Smyrna, died January 20, 2012. She was born in Nashville, TN on July 5, 1928 to the late Garvin Clayton and Winnie Mae David Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Dixon and Joseph Brooks, and son, Ronald W. Ronnie Dixon. Funeral service will be 11:00am Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. She is survived by her son, James K. Jim Dixon of Smyrna, brothers, David (Betty) Hughes of Arrington, Tommy Hughes of Nashville, grandchildren, Kristen Dixon Holmes of Murfreesboro and Brian Dixon, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Kedron United Methodist Church and retired from South Central Bell as a supervisor.
