Margaret "Granny" Williams, age 86, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of J.C. and Martha Vincion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Williams; son, Joe D. Williams; and two sisters, Pearl Vincion and Polly Posey.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Brother Terry Cathey and Brother Tim Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Terry) Cathey of Lebanon, TN; son, Michael W. Williams of Ghana, Africa, previously of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter-in-law, Rosalie Williams of Lewisburg, TN; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Baber of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Billy Joe (Barbara) Vincion of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Juanita Buchanan of Quitman, MS; two nieces and four nephews.

Margaret was a member of Ward's Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired Nursing Assistant with D.C.I. Margaret was an avid quilter and loved all crafts. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, "Aunt Granny", sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. She was a true friend and a follower of the Lord.

Grandsons, grandsons-in-law, and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The Love One Another Sunday School Class and the men of Wards Grove Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Memorials can be made to Ward's Grove Baptist Church or to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Mrs. Margaret Williams.

Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
