Margaret M. Barrett Ward was born on March 21, 1928 (age 88) and left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood S. and Ethel Singleton Barrett, her twin sister, Margie Minor, sisters, Anna Lois Brimm, Betty Sanders, Pauline Browning, and brother, E.S. Barrett, Jr.

Graveside service will be 10:00am Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery. Dr. Jim Clardy will officiate.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband of 66 years, Claude H. Ward, son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Bonnie Ward, daughter and son-in-law, Claudia W. and Tim J. Durham, grandsons, Adam Durham and Jake Durham (Helen), granddaughters, Abby Ward Pollock (Jordan), Emily Ward Stout (Jacob). She is also survived by special sister-in-law, Virginia Ward, special friend, Judy Durham, Murfreesboro, and sister, Ruby B. McCrary of Lebanon.

Mrs. Ward was a resident of the Walter Hill Community, a member of Powell's Chapel Baptist Church and retired from the Singer Distribution Center in Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Ward was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and cooking for her family. Memorials may be made to Powell's Chapel Baptist Church, 8697 Powell's Chapel Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
