MARCELLA ANN ERICKSON, age 78 of Murfreesboro went to a place of glory Hallelujah on January 25, 2009. She was born in Mullberry Grove, IL, the daughter of the late, Eldon and Winifred Perkins Durr. Memorial service will be 10:00 AM Saturday January 31, 2009 at Saint Pauls Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro with Father Michael Spurlock and Father Tom Hudson officiating. A reception will be held after the service at the church. She is survived by her faithful and loving husband of 57 years, Dan Erickson, children, Michael (Debbie) Erickson of Illinois, Kelly (Ken) Lackey, Courtney (Charlie) Yates both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jennifer and Daniel Erickson, Ashley Gannon, Joshua, Joseph, Caleb, and Jordan Yates; great-grandchild, Braydan Adams; sister, Jan (Jim) Grebe of Kansas, Sharon Durr and Jeannie Durr both of Illinois, and an enormous amount of amazing & fun friends. Mrs. Erickson was a long time member of Saint Pauls Episcopal Church and is currently attending All Saints Episcopal Church in Smyrna. She was a 1952 graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois and a 62 year member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She received her Masters in Education from MTSU and was an loyal supporter of MTSU athletics. She was a longtime season ticket holder for Basketball and Football, and a proud member of BRAA. She was an avid and exceptional Bridge player and charter supporter of the New- comers club of Murfreesboro. Marcella has served Rutherford County as an active Realtor for 36 years, currently licensed with Keller Williams Realty.
