WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL Mamye Kathleen Chambliss, age 40, of Centerville, TN, died September 16, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born August 27, 1969 in Murfreesboro, TN. She previously attended Middle Tennessee State University. She was known for her quick wit, devotion to friends, and love of history. She is survived by four sons and two daughters, Brian Andrew Chambliss, age 19; William Tyler Whitworth, age 16; Savannah Kathleen Chambliss, age 13; Ivye Lee Chambliss, age 7; David Thomas Chambliss, age 4, all of Murfreesboro, TN; and Gary Travis Whitworth, age 3, of Woodbury, TN; her mother, Mrs. Anna Margaret Chambliss of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters, Mrs. Patricia (Lyndal) Duke of Murfreesboro, TN and Mrs. Lois (James) Caffy of Morrison, TN; one brother, Mr. David L. Chambliss of Murfreesboro, TN; two nieces, Mrs. Samantha (Nicholas) Gallina of Murfreesboro, TN and Mrs. Mallory (Brandon) Zimmerman of Birmingham, AL; and two nephews, Mr. Christopher Messick of Cape Coral, FL and Mr. Andrew (Crystal) Messick of Murfreesboro, TN. She was preceded in death by her father, former Murfreesboro Chief of Police William I. Buddy Chambliss and a brother, United States Navy Officer William Chambliss, Jr. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Father Steve Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carter Campbell, Christopher Messick, Andrew Messick, Nicholas Gallina, Brandon Zimmerman, and Lyndal Duke.
