MAMIE (SUE) ELIZABETH COX of Murfreesboro died at Friday July 18, 2008 at home. She was a native of Blount County and the daughter of the late Edward and Annie Russell Wilburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nathan Cox who died in 1991. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Joe Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her daughters, Vickie (Michael) Bailey, Robin (Thomas) Jones and Susan Cox all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Michelle (Clay) Holcomb of Texas, Sarah (Jeremiah) Nunley of Clarksville, Rachel (Jeff) Teal of Manchester, and Nathan Davis Jones of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Lucas Nunley, Leslie and Austin Holcomb; her dear friend John Martin of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Cox was a member of Southeast Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Pallbearers will be the men of Southeast Baptist Church. The family thanks her caregivers, Dr. John Barton, and the staff at Tennessee Oncology, Dr. Lee and the staff at Middle Tennessee Medical Center Radiation Therapy, her devoted friends and members of the Lydia Sunday school.
