MAMIE McPEAK DAVENPORT BOWMAN, age 88, of Smyrna, died Saturday, August 1, 2009. She was a native of Cannon County and the daughter of the late Willie and Nannie McPeak. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Aubrey Davenport, second husband, Bobby Bowman, son, Perry Davenport, and daughter, Linda Sue Davenport Heath. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Phillip Lee Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her sons, Roger Davenport of Murfreesboro and Bobby Davenport of Dublin, GA, daughters, Audrey Ann Snyder of Lascassas, Janice Rogers of Murfreesboro, sister, Betty Gannon of Smyrna, 16 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Mrs. Bowman was a member of the Smyrna First Free Methodist Church and a former employee of the Lane Cedar Company. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
