Mai Belle Mullins Handley age 92 of Smyrna, TN, died Saturday August 20, 2011. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Marion Nelson and Leola Sullivan Mullins. Mrs. Handley was preceded in death by her husbands, Beverly Clay Tucker who died in 1953 and Hewlett Franklin Handley who died in 2005, and by a son Thomas Marion Tucker who died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Wesley, Georgie, Clyde, and Walter Lee Mullins and by a sister, Lillian Towns. Mrs. Handley is survived by a son, Ronald Tucker and his wife Clare of Nashville, TN; daughter, Denise Davis and her husband Marty of Smyrna, TN; sister, Audrey Cantrell of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Linda Puckett, Thomas Tucker, Jr., Ryan, Dustin, and Micaela Davis, Katrina Keller, and Ty Tucker; 11 great- grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Rev. Milton Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Handley was a member of Lavergne First Baptist Church and a homemaker. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at WOODFIN CHAPEL SMYRNA. 459-3254.
