Maggie Elizabeth Layne Vaughn, age 93 of Murfreesboro died Monday July 23, 2018. She was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Allen Vaughn; children; Dorris Vaughn, Roger, Vaughn, and Jerry Vaughn; parents, William Robert Layne and Annie Lee Beasley Layne; brothers, Tommy Layne, Larry Layne, Robert Layne, and sister Annie Layne. Mrs. Vaughn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was of the Methodist Faith.

Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her daughters; Geraldine Vaughn of Murfreesboro, Darlene Davis and husband Bobby of Murfreesboro; grandchildren; Rachael DeLair and husband Walt of Hartsville, Stacy Jones and husband David of Texas, Vicky Frizzell and husband Shane of Murfreesboro, Melanie Kinsinger of Kansas, Carrie Cawthorn of Murfreesboro, Brandy Stokes and husband Josh of Christiana, Keith Davis of Shelbyville, and Kevin Davis and wife Kelly of Murfreesboro; 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandsons.

Visitation will be 4PM to 8PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be 11AM Thursday at Vaughn-Layne Cemetery in Alamville with Dr. Jim Clardy officiating. www.woodfinchapel.com
