Magdaleno Munoz

Magdaleno Munoz passed away on August 23, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 83.

Magdaleno was born in El Tablón, Hidalgo, Mexico. As a young man, he made the journey to the United States in search of a better life for himself and his family, carrying with him the hope and determination that would define the rest of his days. He dedicated his life to loving and caring for the people closest to him, and that devotion never wavered.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gregoria Reséndiz Fuentes, who shared his life and his love, along with their 6 children and numerous grandchildren. Magdaleno was blessed to live long enough to see his great-grandchildren, a joy that brought him great happiness in his later years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Munoz Zuniga and Valeria Chavez Martinez.

More than anything, Magdaleno cherished spending time with his family. Their time together, whether in quiet moments or joyful gatherings, was where he found his greatest happiness.

Magdaleno will be remembered for his quiet strength, his sacrifices, and the deep love he gave to his family every day of his life. His memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation with the Munoz family will be at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 11:00 am until the time of funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
