Mae Brewer, age 80, of Murfreesboro, TN. died Wednesday February 23, 2011. A native of Smyrna, TN., she was the daughter of the late John L. and Nannie Lydia Neely Sullivan. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Cameron Brewer; three sisters, Thelma Herrod, Virginia Eades, and Dot Leverette; and three brothers, Clayton, James and John Sullivan Jr. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Dean Sisk will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brewer is survived by her son and daughter in law; Gary and Lee Ann Brewer and daughter, Pat Brewer both of Murfreesboro; granddaughter, Jenna Brewer of Murfreesboro; and three sisters, Ruth (George) Barrett of Murfreesboro, Sara (Bill) Pruitt of Murfreesboro, and Louise Oden of Smyrna. Mrs. Brewer was a member at Belle Aire Baptist Church and was a retired bookkeeper with Atmos Gas. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Stones River Manor Benevolence Fund in memory of Mrs. Brewer. The family wishes to thank Stones River Manor, the Tennessee State Veterans Nursing Home, MTMC, Caris Hospice Group and Dr. Eric Egli for the loving care and support they gave to Mrs. Brewer. Cliff Cowan, Jerry Todd, Steve James, Keith Pruitt, Rickey Irwin and Ronald Dowdy will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151
