Obituary

Mable Daniel Thomas, 87, passed away 4 October, 2017.  She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Paschal "Pat" Thomas; her brother, Wesley Daniel of Virginia Beach; and her daughters Paula Palermo (Vince) of Nolensville, Jan Gregory (Mark) of Murfreesboro, and Mary Ellen Powell (Jeff) of Roswell, GA.  Mable, aka Mamaw, is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Jarnigan, Melanie Lyke, and Patti Smith, all of Franklin, Daniel Gregory of Wilmington, NC, Scott Gregory of Louisville, KY, Seth Powell of Gainesville, GA, and Ben Powell of Lexington, KY, and 10 great grandchildren between 11 and 1 years of age.
Though born in Nebraska, she lived in the Bovina, MS, community near Vicksburg most of her life. She also lived in Greenville, MS, Tupelo, MS, and Raymond, MS, as well as Las Vegas, NV.  Her final home was in Murfreesboro, TN.
She worked as a secretary most of her life at First Baptist Church of Vicksburg, Warren Central High School, and Warren County Baptist Association.  Her greatest joy was her family whom she loved without reserve and was greatly loved in return.

Visitation will be held Saturday, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with a memorial service being held at 1:00 p.m., 7 October, at Calvary Baptist Church, 431 DeJarnette Lane.  An online guest book is also available through Woodfin Funeral Home at www.woodfinchapel.com .
Mable Daniel Thomas left a legacy of faith and family and enriched the lives of all those privileged to know her.  Her life was a great example of love and service to others.  She will be greatly missed.
