Mabel Zimmerman Cox, age 91 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Sunday February 17, 2013. A native of Laurel County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Konitzer Zimmerman. Mrs. Cox was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Lee Cox, a son, Allen Dale Cox, and by two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Cox is survived by her sons, Gary Lee Cox and Frank Cox both of Murfreesboro, TN, and Dennis Wayne Cox of Bradyville, TN; granddaughter, Chandra Hennessy, and two great-granddaughters. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Westlund officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 10:00 AM Tuesday until time of service. Mrs. Cox was a charter member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother and homemaker.
