Lytle Johnson, age 85, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 14, 2016. A native of Smyrna, TN, he was the son of the late John and Murtie Jordan Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Helen Robinson Johnson; daughter, Gale Darlene Johnson; and two brothers, Fred and Julian Johnson.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Ron Caldwell and Gary Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Vickie Spray of Murfreesboro; son, Ronald Johnson and his wife Michelle of Smyrna, TN; seven grandchildren, Jason Spray and his wife Karisse of Murfreesboro, Greg Spray and his wife Jessie of Murfreesboro, Dawn Garza and her husband Scott of Fort Wayne, IN, Chad Caldwell and his wife Ashley of Smyrna; Jessica Caldwell Hiles of Smyrna, Mary Elizabeth Johnson of Murfreesboro, John Thomas Johnson of Smyrna; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and two step-sons, Ron Caldwell of Smyrna and Larry Caldwell of Pontiac, MI.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Old Jefferson Church of Christ. He was a retired machine repairman. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Jason Spray, Greg Spray, Darrian Spray, Emerson Williams, Bernard Bell, David Dozier, and Chad Caldwell will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
