Lynn Dale Young, age 78 of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, October 6, 2011. He was born in Cotton Center, TX and was a native of Plano, TX. He was the son of the late Lynn B. and Velma Williams Young of Abernathy, TX. Memorial service will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. John Risse will officiate. Interment will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Texas at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Esther Nichols Young, children, Jana Young Akers of Murfreesboro, Kimberly Young Dygowski of Charlotte, NC, Michael B. Young of Plano, Texas; sons-in-law, Thomas G. Akers, Lauren L. Dygowski; daughter-in-law, Cyndi Bowen Young; grandchildren, Preston and Storey Akers, Brent and Paige Young, David, Daniel, John, and Joy Dygowski. Mr. Young was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and had previously served at Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson, TX for 43 years. He served his country in the US Navy and worked in Electronics Engineering. After his retirement, he was a bus driver for the Plano Independent School District.
