Lyle Thomas Welch, 84 of Murfreesboro died Sunday August 25, 2019. He was a native of Audubon Iowa and was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle Andrew Welch and Mabel Ulven Welch and a sister, Sharon Welch Klinkefus. Mr. Welch was a Christian and retired Teacher. Tom began his teaching career at Earlham High School in Earlham, Iowa where he taught for two years. He continued his teaching career at Urbandale High School, in Urbandale, Iowa, and retired after teaching for 37 years.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma Jean Griffith Welch; son, Raleigh Andrew Welch and wife Nancy Rhea Wray of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Alicia Anne Wray of Murfreesboro, Hayley Elizabeth Wray of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Logan Drake Manausa of Murfreesboro, Eleanor Louise Wray of Murfreesboro.

A celebration of life service will be held at Fellowship United Methodist Church, New Salem Hwy. Saturday September 14th 11:00am-1:00pm.
