Luther George Martin, age 71, of Murfreesboro, TN, previously of Watertown, TN, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012. A native of DeKalb County he was the son of the late George Herman Martin and Mozell Waggoner Martin. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro. Elder Sue Hutchinson and Elder Glenn Grisham will officiate. Burial will follow in Jones Hill Cemetery in Watertown, TN. Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Serita Kerr Martin; daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and Ron Reece and two grandchildren, Aaron and Evan Reece all of Murfreesboro. Mr. Martin was a member of Temperance Hall Pentecostal Church in Lancaster, TN. He was a graduate of DeKalb County High School. Mr. Martin served in the United States Air Force and was a retired Sales Representative with Waste Management. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
