Luther Roy Holley's Obituary
Luther Roy Holley, age 73 died Wednesday July 11, 2018 at his home. Mr. Holley was born in Nashville and the son of the late Mady McNelly Carter and the late Calvin Holley. He was also preceded in death by brothers, George Hooper and Jimmy Holley; sister, Ellene Garner. Mr. Holley was a member and elder of Jefferson Pike Church of Christ and a veteran of the United States Army. He had worked at Bridgestone and was working for NDC.
Mr. Holley is survived by his wife of 51years; Gladys Holley; children, Gene Holley and wife Melissa of Nashville, Aaron Holley of Smyrna, Brian Holley of Antioch, Sheila Gavel and companion Terry Engel of LaVergne, Megan Holley and companion Caleb Pugh of LaVergne; grandchildren; Jordan Andrew Holley, Steven Gavel, Phoenix Gavel, Kari Gavel, Brylon Holley; sisters, Maxine Graves of Smyrna, Rachel Neal of Smyrna, Lucille Mullins of Smyrna.
Visitation will be Friday 4PM-8PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 1PM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Brother Jimmy Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors
