Lura Alsup Rogers, age 88 of Murfreesboro, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late John W. and Lura Mount Alsup. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jonathan Lee Rogers who died in 1990, brothers, Arlie, Lillard, Carl, Johnny, Prentice and Hylan Alsup, sisters, Clara Ingram, Annie Stuart, Nettie Massey and Mamie Edwards. Graveside service will be 2:00pm Monday at Evergreen Cemetery. Owen Ivery will officiate. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other loving family and friends including, Terry Dollinger. Mrs. Rogers was a retired Lab Technician for DuPont.
