Lula Frances Hargett Thurmond, age 86 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024. A native of Memphis, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Hillary and Hettie Mae Mosby Hargett. Mrs. Thurmond was also preceded in death by her husband, Wymond Thurmond, Sr. and a son Raymond Thurmond.

Mrs. Thurmond is survived by her daughter, Rose Peskey and her husband Les of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Wymond Thurmond, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Ingleside, IL; sister, Hilda Ann Landwer of Round Lake, IL; grandchildren, Connie Moore, Scott Duprey, and Jerry Thurmond; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Duprey, Alyssa Duprey, Justin Duprey, Matthew Moore, Mikayla Moore, Nicholas and Tyler Peskey; and nephew Robert Landwer of Round Lake, IL.

The visitation with the family will be held from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2024, at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Mrs. Thurmond was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Smyrna and a retired nurse's aide.
