Luis Francisco Marengo Rios, age 84, of Smyrna passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was a native of Puerto Rico and the son of the late Juan Marengo and Marcelina Rios.

Funeral service will be 4:00pm Friday, December 21, 2018 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Deacon Simeon Panagatos officiating.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ana Candelario, daughters, Luisa Heifner and her husband Shawn, Wanda Nieves Marengo, Nancy Salazar and her husband Richard, grandchildren, Vincent Anthony Gonzalez, Lt. Lee Andrew Besner and Jessica, Jasiris Boccheciamp, Daniel Nieves, great grandchild, Noah Reigh Gonzalez – Underwood, stepdaughters, Leda and Mercedes, step grandchildren,  Vanessa, Reinaldo, Carlos, and Yesenia.

Mr. Marengo Rios moved to New York City in his early 20's and lived there until his retirement in 1999. He spent his retirement years in Puerto Rico, and Erie, PA, then moved to Smyrna, TN in 2018.
