Lucille S. Stanley, age 69 of Joelton, TN, died Sunday November 24, 2013. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Van D. and Ethel Biggs Stafford. Mrs. Stanley was also preceded in death by her husband, James D. Stanley who died 2008, and brothers, Woody and P. J. Stafford, and sisters, Rhoda Williams and Jean Ashley. Mrs. Stanley is survived by her daughter and son in law, Janet and Kenny Harris of Murfreesboro, TN; step-son, James L. Stanley of Nashville, TN; brothers, Ronnie (Vickie) Stafford of Joelton, TN, and Freeman (Kathy) Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; step-grandsons, Robert Stanley and Trenton Harris and four step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her babies, great-niece Faith, and great-nephew Xander and her protector and friend, Sydney the dog. Mrs. Stanley was of the Church of Christ Faith and a retired Revenue Officer from the State of Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sarah Cannon Research Institute in memory of Mrs. Stanley. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Derrick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
