Rebecca Louise Wiser Peay, age 74 of Halls Hill, died Thursday at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Coffee County and the daughter of the late Alfred and Irene Wiser. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Peay, Sr., a sister, Frances Huddleston and a brother, Herman Wiser. Mrs. Peay is survived by her children, Robert Peay, Jr. and wife, Pat, Billie Jean Peay Summers, Gregg Peay and wife, Sunnette, Joey Peay and wife, Charlotte, all of Rutherford County; ten grandchildren, Rachel Cornett and husband, Kyle, Katie Peay, Kimberly Behne and husband, Todd, Amy Summers, Josh Peay and wife, Meghan, Adam Peay, Madilyn, Natalie, Zachary, and Carolyn Peay; three great grandchildren, Hayden Behne, Destiny and Alec Cristole; sisters Wilma Lasiter and husband, John, Jewell Smartt, and Barbara Livesay; brothers John Clayton Wiser and wife, Emily and Leighton Wiser and wife, Teedee. Mrs. Peay was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and retired from Sears. She had a servant's heart and was happiest when she was helping others or supporting Oakland High School athletics. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00pm Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with with Bro. John Risse officiating. Burial will follow in Ward's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Peay, Adam Peay, Zachary Peay, Todd Behne, Kyle Cornett, Hayden Behne, Alec Cristole, Rodney Peay, Brad Kerr and Sam Kerr.
