Louis B. "Nick" Nicholson, Jr. age 70 of Christiana, TN, went to be with the Lord Sunday October 19, 2014. A native of Okolona, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Louis B. and Fannie Lou Jones Nicholson, Sr. Mr. Nicholson was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry VanMeter , a son, Leonard Nicholson and brothers, Jimmy, Randy, and Paul Nicholson. Mr. Nicholson is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley Pittard Nicholson; special nephew, Jeremy Pittard of Christiana, TN; daughters, Sheri (Billy) Bickford of Lascassas, TN, and Rhonda (Garry) Ryan of Smyrna, TN; son, Cory (Gracie) Nicholson of Smithville, TN; grandchildren, Holly Bowling, Kelsey Bickford, Ashley Basham, Steven and Randy Hensley, and Trevor Nicholson; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Olyvia Hensley, and Timothy Nicholson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Darrel Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Jeremy Pittard, Keith King, Mark Haynes, Gary Bush, Tommy Beasley, and Ronnie Gandy serving as pallbearers. Mr. Nicholson was retired from Hurst Construction after 30 plus years of service, and also worked part time for the Rutherford County Convenience Center. He was also a member of Kingdom Ministries.
