Louis G. "Lou" Langley, age 56 of LaVergne died Wednesday after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Nashville and the son of the late James "Buddy" Langley and Gwen Boyce Overstreet who survive. He was also preceded by his wife Lisa Langley; a baby sister Pamela Anne Langley and his stepfather Raymond Overstreet. Survivors include his mother Gwen Overstreet; a sister Lynn Howell and her husband Steve of Smyrna; a brother Brian Overstreet of LaVergne; nephew James Howell and a niece Mary Gwen Howell both of Smyrna and devoted German Shepherd Vanzant. Mr. Langley was a member of Joywood Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired painter. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed playing music. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Rev. Jeff Clark officiating.
