Lottie Dianne
Mcferrin
April 28, 1944 – September 20, 2025
Lottie Dianne McFerrin, 81, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025.
She was born on April 28, 1944, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Ed and Lottie Adell Broshears, and grew up in East Peoria, Illinois. Later in life, she made her home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where she created countless cherished memories with family and friends.
Lottie was married for 33 years to Sam McFerrin. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Elizabeth (Kris) Richards, and her son, David Carlson. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Isaac Rogers, Noah Rogers, and Grant Richards, through Elizabeth, and Jessica Carlson, through David. Nothing made her happier than celebrating their milestones, encouraging their dreams, and surrounding them with her unconditional love.
She is also survived by her siblings, John (Teresa) Broshears of East Peoria, Illinois; Toni Broshears of North Carolina; and Chris Broshears of Phoenix, Arizona.
Lottie's life was defined by kindness, faith, and quiet strength. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, whether through her warm smile, her listening ear, or the gentle way she cared for those around her. Her love was steady and true, and she will be remembered as the heart of her family and a blessing to all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held 3:00pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Blackman United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Lottie be remembered in your hearts and prayers, and that her legacy of love and compassion be carried forward in the lives she touched. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Funeral Chapels, and an online guestbook is available for the McFerrin family at www.woodfinchapel.com.
