Loretta Wilson

Flora Loretta Wilson, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bonnie Phillips; siblings, Harold, Eddie, Charles, Cindy, Lindy, and Deanna.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael Wilson; sons, William Wilson (Jessica) and Jonathan Wilson; brothers, Guy Phillips and Joe Hughes; sisters, Nellie Mosley, Susie McAleer, Lisa Coker, and Regina Williams; father-in-law, Porter Wilson; sister-in-law, Gaile Jones; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

Born in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, Loretta lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and devotion to those she loved. She faithfully served the children of Waldron School for ten and a half years, where her genuine love for children shone brightly. She cared for each child as if they were her own, and in return they adored her. She later dedicated sixteen years as a store manager, where her leadership touched the lives of coworkers and customers alike. A ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her, she was loved by all for her selfless heart and caring nature. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. Her legacy of love, generosity, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 17, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Burial will follow at Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
