Lonnie Stephen Walls, age 50, passed from this life on July 5, 2014 in Somerset, Ky. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 11:00AM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery. He was a native of Smyrna, TN but had lived in Kentucky until recently when he moved back to Tennessee. He attended Smyrna High School and Tennessee Technology Center in Murfreesboro. Lonnie was the son of the late Major James F. Walls; grandson of the late Ellis and Clara Brittain of Smyrna, and the late James and Ivy Walls of Missouri Valley, Iowa. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Walls. He is survived by his mother, Sally Brittain Walls of Smyrna; son, Michael Alexander and his wife Victoria of Thompkinsville, KY; daughter, Jaycie Danielle of Glasgow, KY; son, Stephen Lonnie Walls of Smyrna; and half-sister and brothers, Polly W. Balakhani and Brooks Walls and his wife Jackie, and Joseph Walls all of Smyrna. Lonnie is also survived by his beloved soul mate, Debbie Finnegan of LaVergne. Lonnie was a cross country truck driver for many years until his retirement for health reasons. He was known to be a talented auto mechanic. He helped many people with the skills he possessed. Lonnie was an easy going man who saw the good in everyone. He loved his music, movies, and white Beamer and Debbie very much. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to PAWS of Rutherford County, TN at 285 John R Rice Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
