Obituary

LOMA JEAN LOWE, age 93, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at National Health Care Center. She was born in Scott County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late W. R. and Effie Byrd. She is survived by her loving daughter in law, Betty Long Lowe of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Dr. Lisa Lowe and her husband Mark Parsley of Murfreesboro; Rene (Keith) Jennings of Murfreesboro and Greg (Carmen) Lowe of Burns, Tennessee; six great grandchildren, Alex Jennings, Erin Jennings, Phillip Parsley, Claire Parsley, Kase Lowe and Caroline Lowe. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside services 2 pm Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery, Maryville, Tennessee. Ms. Lowe was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Murfreesboro and was retired from the Tennessee School for Deaf in Knoxville having worked there for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Theodore Fletcher Lowe, Jr. and her daughter, Donna Frea Heilman. Memorials in memory of Ms. Lowe may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
