Lois Sanders Wood, age 90 of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 5, 2022. A native of Rutherford County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Odell and Lena Davenport Sanders. Mrs. Wood was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jack Raymond Wood, a brother, Clifford Sanders, and a sister, Charlotte Baskin.

Mrs. Wood is survived by daughters, Lynne Wood of Murfreesboro, TN, Terri Pomeroy and her husband Jim of Lascassas, TN, and Karen McDonald of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Jason Pomeroy and his wife Emily of Westminster, S. C., David and Shawn Pomeroy of Murfreesboro, TN, Jessica Duke and her husband Cameron of Fort Collins, CO, and Ryan McDonald of Nashville, TN; and great-grandson, Arlo Pomeroy of Westminster, S. C.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Lynn Pryor officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Wood was a faithful member of Walter Hill First Baptist Church and a retired Eligibility Clerk with the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN.
