LOIS NORTH SHIPP age 66 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Monday September 7, 2009 at her home. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late E.E. and Margaret Susan Beatey North. Memorial services will be 11:00A.M. Thursday at St. Marks United Methodist Church with Rev. Randall Ganues, Rev. Fred Hembree, and Rev. Jim Clardy officiating. Lois is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beth Shipp Ganues and Brad Ganues, grandchildren, Will, Emma Kate, and Anna Claire Ganues, and special friend Jimmy Jacobs all of Murfreesboro, TN. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Ellen Shipp who died in 1987, and by her former husband, Bobby Shipp. Lois was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and a retired social worker from the Tennessee Department of Human Services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church or Caris Hospice in her memory. Visitation will be from 9:00A.M. to 11:00A.M. Thursday, at the church.
