Lois Garrett

Lois Irene Weinkauf Garrett, age 88, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026. Mrs. Garrett was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Alan and Margaret Weinkauf. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked at Community Care Nursing Home until she retired in 1995. She loved MTSU baseball, women’s basketball, and football and most of all, her beloved Atlanta Braves.

She is survived by her son, Doug Garrett and his wife Kim; daughter, Donna Robertson and her husband Greg all of Murfreesboro; Grandchildren, Mady Matlock (Josh), Ashley Garrett (Michael Meade), Hal Robertson (Rachel), Joe Robertson, and Alex Garrett, and great-grandchildren, Eddie Matlock, Tommy Matlock, and Lilly Robertson as well as 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Garrett and brother, Ed Weinkauf.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. The family would like to thank Alive Hospice for all their support and encouragement these past few weeks. To Adrienne, Lynn, and Courtney, we especially thank you. You are angels in our midst.
