Mr. Lloyd Clark Swann, age 81, of Smyrna, TN went home to be with the Lord, Friday September 19, 2014. A native of Nashville, TN and long-time resident of Shepherdsville, KY, he was born September 8, 1933. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Alice Swann. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Dan Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Swann is survived by his four daughters, Debi Tiller and her husband David of Smyrna, Sherry Osborne and her husband Bobby of Mt. Washington, KY, Elaine Swann of Smyrna, and Aimee Bracken and her husband Gene of Russellville, KY; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Swann retired from the Associated Press in 1995 as Chief of Communication. He loved playing golf and took pleasure in cooking. Mr. Swann also enjoyed piddling on different projects and was known to be a fix-it man. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials can be made to Parkway Baptist Church (1715 Lee Victory Pkwy, Smyrna, TN 37167) or to Shepherdsville First Baptist Church (254 S Buckman St, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00PM to 6:00PM and Monday from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
