Mrs. Lisa Kaye Weekley, age 55, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016.  She was born in Fayetteville, TN to Marilyn Tarbett of Murfreesboro, TN and the late Gene Tarbett of Maryville, TN.  Lisa was a homemaker to her husband, Brian Weekley, and a passionate rescuer of unwanted or abused cats.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Brian Weekley; mother Marilyn Tarbett, brother, Doug Tarbett and his wife Rae, all of Murfreesboro, TN and nephews Brendan Tarbett of Fairbanks, AK and Joshua Tarbett of Denver, CO.

Lisa was a precocious child from birth and has always been passionate about her causes and interests, whether it be her love of animals or riding motorcycles.  She devoted a large part of her life to rescuing mistreated and abandoned dogs and cats.  She always had a soft spot in her heart for the mistreated, abused, and abandoned in life.

Lisa accepted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ about two years ago. He made a huge difference in her life.  She loved deeply, cried hard, and taught us that God is patient and values us all.  We will miss her greatly but are comforted that she is at peace in Heaven with our Heavenly Father!

Lisa's wish was to be cremated and have her remains scattered with a few of their previously loved cats along the Natchez Trace Trail.  She loved the peace, serenity, and beauty of the trail while riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle.
