Mr. Linzie C Jones, age 86, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Monday, February 27, 2017. He was born in Monroe County, KY to the late Ezra and Elma Soards Jones. Mr. Jones proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later with the Department of Justice as an ATF agent. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 40 years, Opal Jones; children, Eric Jones of Berne, Switzerland, Christine Jones of Manchester, TN, Rickey Hullett and his wife Connie of Clarksville, TN, Steve Hullett and his wife Rhonda of Rockvale, TN, Tammy Buida of Smithville, TN; brother, Rex Jones and his wife Hazel of Lebanon, IN; sister, Barbara Hale and her husband Jim of Vista, CA; grandchildren, David Henson, Christopher Cooper, Shane Hullett, Jimmy Hullett, Michelle Hullett, Angelica Garnett, Rickey Lynn Hullett, Leah Ripley, Austin Hullett, Alex Rielly, and Aaren Shearer; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Jones, and grandson, Jeremy Hinkle.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Miriam Seyler will officiate.
