LINDA FAY SLEDGE, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, September 27, 2009. She was a native of Fosterville and daughter of the late Roberta Powell Taylor and granddaughter of the late Jordan and Emma Powell. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. David Young and Randall Matlock will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, John Benjamin Sledge, son and daughter in law, Trevor and Libby Sledge of Murfreesboro, daughter in law, Karen Sledge of Murfreesboro, sister, Shirley Powell Taylor of Shelbyville, uncle, Donald White (Mary Lou) Powell of Fosterville, grandchildren, Jacob and Lauren Sledge of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Sledge was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Bradley Sledge. She was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ, a graduate of Christiana High School, and was co-owner of SledgeCraft Inc. along with her family. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Sledge, Matt Sledge, Les Westbrooks, Phillip Westbrooks, Chris Sledge, Les Schmidt, Butch Vaughn and Johnny Pittman. Memorials may be made to North Boulevard Church of Christ City Ministries, Garden Fund, or the Building Fund in her memory.
