Linda Foutch

Mrs. Linda Lou Foutch, age 77, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 on Mother's Day surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Christopher, IL to the late Dwight Alonzo and Mildred Cockrum Rowland. Linda was married to Harley Foutch on July 25, 1970. She was a lifelong member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. Above all, Linda's life was devoted to her family. Nothing made her happier than trips to the beach, Tennessee road trips, and special family reunions with all the wonderful memories that were shared.

Linda's love story with Harley started at Southern Illinois University before making their life together in Middle Tennessee. Carol Drive was home. So many family meals prepared with fresh vegetables from the garden! Linda devoted her life to supporting Harley and the girls and always encouraging them every step of the way. She welcomed her daughters' husbands with the same love. Linda cherished the fact that her girls were loved so fully. She had no greater joy than seeing their own homes filled with unconditional love and happiness. The pride she felt in her family continued with her six grandchildren, who she loved beyond measure.

Linda was blessed to have a special bond with her sisters, Jane and Shirley. She shared a sweet relationship with her lifelong friend, Cheri Claybrooke, filled with fun and laughter. Linda gained a friendship that only God's timing could have provided in her last chapter of life with Aleta Daugherty.

Linda will always be remembered for her sheer determination to enjoy life against all obstacles. There is such peace and comfort knowing that Linda received complete healing on Mother's Day. In honor of Linda, take time to focus on nature. Enjoy a sip of coffee while bird watching and waiting for the flowers to bloom. And most of all, always stay positive and focused on God’s love and family.

Linda's legacy lives on through her devoted family, daughters, Michelle Rowe and her husband Scott and Robin Anderson and her husband Ryan; grandchildren, Caleb, Emalee Grace, Joshua, Ashlyn, Rumi Ryan, and Brady; siblings, Bob (Verna) Rowland, Rex (Lois) Rowland, Joe Rowland, Shirley (Frank) Dry, and Jane (Wayne) Lewis; brother-in-law, Tony (Peggy) Foutch; sister-in-law, Shirley Foutch; and so many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Dr. Harley W. Foutch; brother, Jerry Rowland; and precious in-laws, Cleo and Marie Foutch, Cleva Simmons, Gene Fox, Mary Alice Fox, and Fern Eubank.

Linda's family would like to thank Muriel Glimps and Home Helpers including Whitney, Jeremy, Amanda, Lori, Susan, Tracy, Tamika, Madisen and Angie. Their love, care and genuine concern were true gifts to Linda and her family. A special thanks to The Villages of Murfreesboro and Aveanna Hospice.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 12:00noon central time until 2:00pm central time at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 2:00pm central time at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
